Announcement: Launch of Australia’s Largest MTB Team
The weekend of the 30th November 2013 will see the launch of the largest MTB Racing team in Australia.. JetBlack Racing. With over 45 riders ranging in age from 20 to over 60 these riders will compete in Mountain Bike races all over NSW with the main emphasis in competing in the 5 Rocky Trail Enduro Series Races in 2014.
This team was started in a simple conversation this year between Martin Wisata the director of RockyTrail Entertainment and one of the founding MIA Dirt Riders Michael Brown, Martin wanted to sponsor the team in some way as in 2012 & 2013 the MIA Dirt Riders crew had grown from a handful of riders to over 30 competing in the Rocky Trail races with many riders ending up on the podium at every race, more discussions took place between a few of the riders and as the saying goes…” the rest is history”. Now with nearly a dozen sponsors on board we will see nearly 30 to 40 riders race in all 5 Rocky Trail Races next year as well as other Enduro races in Canberra, Forbes and Grafton.
It will be an exciting time for MTB Racing as with a very professional team kit we will “ stand out” for sure. The weekend of the 30th November will see nearly 30 riders competing at the JetBlack 24hr held at the Australian Botanical Gardens at Mt. Annan in all categories, Solo, 2, 3 & 4 person teams in both the 24hr races and the very popular 6hr plus 6hr format.
No doubt there will be a lot of the public interest in this new team and it can only get better with each race we all compete in. Bring it on……
